Privacy Policy

Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how LightRail collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and app (the “Service”). This page is provided as a template and is not legal advice.
Information we collect
- Wallet and network information: if you connect a wallet, we process your public wallet address, the chain you connected on, and the wallet type, so the app can quote and construct transactions for you.
- Account metadata: preferences you set in the app (such as default chain and slippage tolerance) and counters used for rebate programs.
- Device and usage data: basic diagnostics (browser type, pages viewed, errors) to help operate and improve the Service.
We do not ask for your name, email, or government identification, and we never ask for a private key or seed phrase. Nobody legitimate ever will.
What we cannot see
We do not hold your assets and cannot move them. We do not have access to your private keys. Transactions you sign are broadcast to public blockchains — that data is public and permanent by design, and is not something we can delete on your behalf.
Local storage on your device
We use browser “local storage” (for example, localStorage) to keep the Service working across page refreshes. This includes items such as your last-used wallet type, your selected chain, and session-related data. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings, and the app clears it on disconnect.
How we use information
- To provide and maintain the Service and fetch quotes relevant to your wallet.
- To remember your preferences between sessions.
- To operate rebate and rewards programs, where you opt into them.
- To prevent abuse, rate-limit our APIs, and improve safety and reliability.
Sharing
To produce a quote, we send route parameters — chains, token addresses, and amounts — to third-party aggregators and RPC providers. Those requests are made from our servers where possible so your IP address is not exposed to every downstream provider. We also use infrastructure and database providers to operate the Service, and may disclose information where required by law.
Your choices
- Browse anonymously: you can view routes and quotes without connecting a wallet.
- Disconnect: disconnecting clears your locally stored session.
- Clear local storage: remove locally stored data via your browser settings.
- Contact: reach out to request help or ask questions about this policy.
